In 2000, LG came out with the first refrigerator that had internet capabilities. It was priced over $20,000. It was not a big success due to problems that needed to be ironed out. Now in 2014, fourteen years after LG’s first smart refrigerator, you can find smart refrigerators distributed by all the major brands such as GE, Whirlpool, Samsung, and many more brands. Also they are featured at reasonable prices that the average American can afford. For example, LG newest model is called the Smart ThinQ refrigerator. It has 3 doors. Two french doors at the top and a pull out freezer at the bottom. The refrigerator also comes with a 8″ LCD wi-fi screen. It is priced around $3500. A big difference from the $20,000 their smart refrigerators sold for in 2000. The Smart ThinQ refrigerator is energy efficient and it is stamped with the Good Housekeeping Seal. It also comes with a 10 year limited warranty on the compressor and one of the features of the refrigerators is Smarter Cool. With Smarter Cool, you are able to touch a button of the LCD and it can tell you what foods are about to expire and what foods you are low on. LG has come a very long way since it’s first smart refrigerator in 2000 Refrigerator Repair Los Angeles.

Samsung has come a long way with it’s advancement of smart refrigerators as well. They also have refrigerators a with 8″ LCD screen. The screens act just like a computer and you can go online to Google calendars, Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, and many other sites. You can also make and receive phone calls from the refrigerators.If you are going to be in the kitchen a while and would like to watch a little television, no problem. You can also watch television. These refrigerators are definitely similar to these from the Jetsons. The only problem is there is not a price set for these refrigerators yet. They are completely new and only sold in Canada for the time being.

With the advancement of refrigerators and other appliances. This is really going to open the need for more well trained appliance repair technicians with advanced skills and formal schooling. Although it is great to have such technology, it becomes scary when you have to ponder a repair or something going with one of these refrigerators. Hopefully these refrigerators are well made and the companies stand behind their warranties. Hooray for new technology!
